It's really quite shocking how these Christendom people still use out dated translations to 'prove' their shoddy points. You really need to research using modern more accurate scholarship (Christendom scholarship even) The Bible's use of the word 'Worship' is relative. Like 'Angel', 'god' How can we say that? we have to look at the original languages. Is the word for 'worship' consistently only one word in the ancient texts? Apparently not. Let's look at the Hebrew scriptures in Gree, the Septuagint (Jesus and his Apostles quoted from the Septuagint because their audience mostly spoke Greek). In Greek there are two words used which can be translated: Worship, Reverence, bow low, obeisance: Gk 'PROSKYNEO' used for example when Nathan the Prophet approached king David1 (Kings 1:23) and 'did obeisance' or 'bowed low' or literally: 'worship' (but not as in worshiping God. Why? Because not even Christendom's translators infer that Nathan was engaged in false worship of David!) So they translate it accordingly as 'Obeisance' 'Prostrate' 'Bow low' etc.. And the other Gk word used for 'worship' is: LATREVO. But this word is used EXCLUSIVELY in relation to the Worshiping of God or more accurately 'render sacred service' like priests in the temple. NOTE WELL: LATREVO: IS NEVER USED WITH REFERENCE TO CHRIST. NEVER! But why not, if we are to worship Christ as God? Could it be that that the leper at Mathew 8:1-3 was doing what Nathan the prophet did to David, bow low, show deep reverence for Jesus appropriately so, as He is the 'Son of David'?
